Golden Nuggets: Welcome back, Trent Taylor!

Rapoport: 49ers send clear message to teams inquiring about Brandon Aiyuk

“Obviously, there have been some teams, though, who know that all is not well, who know that he wants a contract extension, some receiver-needy teams who have inquired over the course of the last several months to see [if he could] be available,” Rapoport shared. “To my knowledge, the 49ers have not entertained any of those talks. But until and unless an extension gets done, that is going to persist.”

NFL draft prospect drawing Deebo Samuel comparisons to visit with 49ers

“While his rushing numbers aren’t as prolific as Samuel’s were at South Carolina, Corley is built like Samuel at 5-11, 215 pounds, and he wields that size with similar ferocity after the catch. He averaged 9.2 yards after the catch per reception on 36 receptions behind the line of scrimmage last season according to Pro Football Focus. Corley also posted 8.8 yards after the catch per reception on throws 0-9 yards beyond the line of scrimmage.”

Ex-49er Patrick Willis reflects on hurdles on his road to Hall of Fame (paywall) ‘

“One of those moments happened during a phone interview for this story. Willis was recalling his late uncle, Arthur Willis, a transformative figure in his life, who regularly tossed a football with him after returning from work, no matter how tired he might have been.

“Every ball he threw to me was helping to get just a little closer to me becoming a professional athlete,” Willis said. “And, man, to me becoming a Pro Football Hall of Famer.”

With that, Willis let out a deep, joyous, how-did-this-happen laugh. And he laughed. And laughed. And then, finally, he explained.

“I don’t think I’ve ever just laughed like that,” Willis said. “Genuinely. Just in that moment sharing with you. It’s in moments like this where I’m like, ‘Wow.’ People ask, ‘How do you feel?’ And it’s like, I just had a moment right here.”

Veteran WR Taylor returns to 49ers, signs one-year contract

“After four seasons with the 49ers, Taylor played two years with the Cincinnati Bengals and last season with the Chicago Bears.”

Ranking 49ers’ top six position needs to address in 2024 NFL Draft

“The 49ers could target a player to cover the slot receiver, which would enable Lenoir to remain at cornerback on all downs. Currently, moving Lenoir to nickel back in passing situations is a legitimate option — but certainly not the best one.

It would make sense for the 49ers to select a cornerback within the first three rounds of the draft, even moving up to select one that fits their scheme and the size and skills they are seeking.”
